Navigate through the Valdivian jungle
The Chaihuín river, a great scenic beauty, is a protected river that borders the Reserva Costera Valdiviana and the National Park Alerce Costero. In this trip we row from the river mouth of the Chaihuín river until Cadillal Alto, the last place before entering the national park. Here we camp in the middle of the forest and have diner in the house of a family that lives on the riverside. The second day we hike upstream through forests of coigües trees to explore the Valdivian jungle more profoundly. At midday we start rowing downstream and at the end of the day we arrive in Valdivia.
